About
The Cultural and Creative Industries in Southern Africa possess essential practices that will encourage them to create value through entrepreneurism, artistic innovation, development and exploration. Nonetheless as these Creative Industries institutions and individuals grow within the Southern Africa context, they are some which have shown signs of grappling with the issues of governance. At the helm of most of these CCIs are individuals who have the passion for the arts but lack the requisite professional knowledge for the institutions to achieve their intended goals. The onset of recent global challenges such as climate change and the Covid-19 pandemic have increased the need for these CCIs to be more proactive and set in place effective governance structures. One way of achieving such is learning from peers in the industry through Regional and International collaborations. The course will focus on equipping participants in Southern Africa with essential governance practices that will encourage them to create value through entrepreneurism, artistic innovation, development and exploration. This course carries two main components which is Cultural Governance and International Cultural Corporation.
